Abstract

The study highlights the geospatial trends, patterns and distribution of Aonla cultivation in Pratapgarh
district over the last decade (2007-08 to 2017-18) and identies factors and constraints that affect its
growth. The paper also explains the concentration and distribution pattern of Aonla cultivation due to its
important role in trend analysis. Simple statistics are such as Compound Annual Growth Rates (CAGR),
Annual Growth Rates (AGR) and Average Annual Growth Rates (AAGR) are calculated for the area,
production and yield. Yield plays an important role or regular ups and downs in production while the
descended area is responsible for the rapid decline in production during 2007-08 to 2012-13. Aonla cluster
and Fruit belt initiatives emerged as catalysts for positive growth. Aonla concentration and distribution are
shown by using Google Earth Pro., MS Excel and Arc GIS software are used for temporal and spatial
analysis
